I replaced the old electric jack on my 2016 Forest River
Flagstaff Micro Lite 23LB travel trailer with the Phoenix 5500,
and completed the install myself in about an hour using a
wire stripper and an socket set to get the job done. The
installation was straightforward with good instructions, and
included all the parts needed for the install.
The operation of the new jack is excellent! The memory
function makes leveling the trailer a breeze when I return to
my driveway after camping. However, the really outstanding
feature is the remote control, because using the Phoenix 5500
I am able to use the backup view in my tow vehicle and align
the trailer over the ball hitch, keep the tow vehicle in neutral
while I remotely lower the jack, and the hitch slides right onto
the tow ball.
When doing this mounting alone with my previous tongue
jack, it used to take me 5-6 trips in and out of the tow vehicle
and a lot of frustration and realignment to get it attached.

The Ultra fab Phoenix 5500 tongue Jack is well built from
design, assembly and packaging. A strong drive motor quickly
moves from full retraction to extension even under a load.
LED light and clear lens cover provide excellent lighting in the
dark. The Plastic motor housing, powder coat paint, and zinc
coating of the foot plate provides superior weather protection.
Installation takes approximately 1 hour for a novice mechanic.
